A Step-by-Step Social Skills Course to Learn the Art of Conversation

This self-paced, at-home social skills course gives your child the clear, concrete roadmap for conversation they’ve been missing.

SOCIAL SKILLS COURSE FOR KIDS AND TEENS

If Your Child is Struggling with Conversation Skills or Making and Keeping Friends, You're In the Right Place

You can see how much your child wants to connect. But something keeps getting in the way.

Do any of these sound familiar?

  • You've tried the tips, modeled the skills, and had the conversations, but you're not sure any of it is actually sticking.

  • When you try to help, it turns into a lecture, they shut down, or you get the famous last words: "you just don't get it, mom."

  • You've looked into speech therapy or social skills groups but the waitlist is long, the options are limited, or the timing just doesn't work right now.

  • You want to do something now, not wait months for a spot to open up.

  • You're ready for a real framework, not another list of disconnected tips you found online.

If that's where you are, you're in exactly the right place. Some kids need someone to actually break social skills down and model how to apply them in real conversations.

Communication Doesn’t Have to Be This Hard

Imagine your child walks into class, a club, or a get-together feeling confident and prepared, because they understand how conversation works and they have real tools to lean on, not just a reminder to "talk more." When a conversation feels awkward or doesn't go as planned, they have the language to understand what happened and what they can try differently next time, without it turning into shame or "I'm just bad at this."

You stop feeling like you have to coach every interaction or debrief every hard moment alone, because now you both have the same language, the same framework, and a real plan you can use together.

THAT’S WHY I CREATED

The Social Skills Blueprint® Course: Conversation Skills for Better Friendships

Conversation Skills for Better Friendships is a self-paced at-home social skills course for neurodivergent kids and teens ages 8 to 18 and their parents, built around a clear, step-by-step framework for conversation so that learning these skills finally feels doable.

How to Know If the Conversation Skills for Better Friendships Course Is a Good Fit

Your child:

  • Struggles with the back and forth of conversation, talking at others rather than with them.

  • Talks forever about their favorite topic without realizing the other person has checked out, or gives one-word answers when the conversation isn’t about something they’re interested in.

  • Wants friends but conversation skills feels like the missing piece.

  • Feels anxious or uncertain in social situations and sometimes avoids them altogether.

  • Is neurodivergent or has social communication differences. (A formal diagnosis is not required.)

  • Is between the ages of 8 and 18.

You, as their parent:

  • Are ready to stop piecing together random tips and finally have a clear, step-by-step plan.

  • Want to feel equipped to support your child at home rather than standing on the sidelines.

  • Are on a waitlist, can't find a local specialist, or want more support without adding another appointment to your week.

Your Child Doesn't Have
To Keep Figuring This Out
On Their Own

If you've been watching your child struggle with conversations and friendships and wondering when things will finally click, this is your answer. The Social Skills Blueprint® Course: Conversation Skills for Better Friendships gives you both a clear, step-by-step roadmap so your child can finally feel confident, prepared, and ready to connect.

I've Sat Across from Enough Kids Who Felt Left Out to Know That This Work Matters

Hi, I'm Gabby, a licensed speech-language pathologist, UCLA PEERS® certified provider, and the founder of Pyzza Speech Therapy.

Early in my career I worked with teens who told me they wanted friends but didn't know how to make them. Teaching them specific conversation skills and watching those skills open up their world was when I knew this was the work I was meant to do. I created this course because I wanted more families to have access to that same clear, practical support without needing to live nearby or get on a waitlist.

You know your child best. I'm here to give you both the roadmap.

You've Probably Already Tried to Help Your Child with Social Skills,

But Here's Why It Hasn't Clicked Yet

Not every family has easy access to a specialist in social communication, and most of the options that do exist have real limitations.

  • School-based speech services may be limited in time and scope. And as kids get older, being pulled from class can start to feel isolating, which can lead to resistance that gets in the way of real progress.

  • Generic tips and advice from the internet leave you piecing together disconnected strategies with no clear sequence and no way to know if any of it is actually right for your child.

  • Waiting for a specialist means months can go by while your child continues to struggle and social situations feel more discouraging.

This course gives you the structure, the sequence, and the expert guidance, without the waitlist, the weekly commitment, or the guesswork.

Questions Parents Ask About The Course

I've been searching for social skills programs for autism. Is this the right fit?

I built this course with neurodivergent kids and teens in mind, though the skills help any child who finds social situations confusing, with or without a diagnosis. If your child struggles with starting or keeping a conversation going, this was made for them.

We've tried social skills stuff before. Why would this be any different?

Most support your child has had before was probably broad, squeezed into a few minutes during the school day, or led by someone without the right qualifications. Many programs focus on scripted responses or group time without real structure behind how conversation actually works.
Here's what's different. This is a step-by-step social skills course for kids and teens, built around a clear clinical framework that was developed by a licensed speech-language pathologist with over a decade of experience teaching social communication skills to kids, teens, and young adults. Every lesson has a purpose, a sequence, and built-in practice, so your child isn't just hearing about conversation skills, they're learning how to use them.

My child is already in speech therapy or on a waitlist. Do they even need this?

Think of this course as a companion, not a replacement. If your child is already in speech therapy, it gives you both a shared language and strategies to practice at home between sessions. If you're on a waitlist, it gives you somewhere to start now instead of watching months pass while things feel more discouraging.

We're busy. Will we actually have time for this?

I totally get it. Life is full, which is why lessons are short, most around 20 minutes, with natural pause points to watch a little, practice a little, and come back to later. You get ongoing access so there's no pressure to race through anything. Most families start with one or two lessons a week and build from there.

My child needs this but I'm not sure they'll want to sit down and do a social skills course.

You're not alone in feeling that way, and you have more flexibility than you might think. Watch lessons on your own first and bring pieces into car rides, dinner, or after-school conversations without ever saying "let's do a lesson." Invite your child in for one short video at a time, let them choose what feels relevant, and skip around to what's most helpful right now. The goal isn't to make them love the course. It's to give you both language and tools you can weave into everyday life, so conversations feel a little less hard and your child feels a little more confident.

How do I know if this social skills course is the right fit for my child?

The Social Skills Blueprint® framework meets your child where they are, whether they talk a lot about their preferred interests without noticing the other person checked out, give one-word answers, or fall somewhere in between. It works for neurodivergent kids and teens with autism, ADHD, anxiety, or no diagnosis at all. If they struggle with starting or keeping a conversation going, this was made for them.

My child doesn't have an official diagnosis. Is this still for us?

Absolutely. A diagnosis isn't required. If your child struggles with starting conversations, knowing what to say when the topic changes, or reading the unwritten rules of social interaction, this can help. Conversation skills are the foundation of every relationship your child will ever have, with friends, teachers, family, and eventually coworkers and roommates. Learning them now is one of the most valuable things you can do for their future.

What if I really want my child to learn this in person?

In-person support is valuable, and this course isn't meant to replace speech therapy or in-person programs. Think of it as a bridge. If your child is already in speech therapy or a social skills group, this gives you a shared language to reinforce what they're working on at home. If in-person options are limited, full, far away, or outside your budget right now, this gives you access to the same quality guidance from a licensed speech-language pathologist, in a flexible format, with you learning right alongside your child.

How long is this social skills course and how long will it take us to get through it?

The course includes 6 modules with 22 video lessons, totaling about 7 hours. Most families spread it out over several weeks, starting with one or two lessons at a time rather than everything at once. You move at whatever pace works for your family, and with ongoing access there's no pressure to rush. You can also revisit lessons before a new school year, a social transition, or any time your child needs a refresher.

We're on a waitlist or can't find a local specialist. Can this help in the meantime?

Yes, and this is one of the most common reasons families find this course. Access to a qualified specialist is limited in many areas, and waitlists can stretch for months. This gives you a licensed SLP walking you step by step through the same types of skills taught in 1:1 sessions, so your child isn't stuck waiting. It's a structured option for families who need support now.

Your Child Wants to Connect.
Their Roadmap is Right Here.

As kids get older, friend groups solidify and kids are expected to make social plans on their own. When a child doesn't have the conversation skills for that, they can end up on the outside looking in. Getting them the right support now could make all the difference for their friendships and confidence going forward.
